If I'm looking at this right… Looks like JP players can pay directly still…

That's what people think on the forums too. BTW Avi… I think you can read it.

Does it say the basics for a JP player paying SE directly?

Remember this on top of JP players being able to buy EXACT amounts of crysta to pay.

Well its a lot of kanji and the font is very small, but the setup on there is clear and it is asking for credit card information, obviously card type, number, expiration date and the three digit code.

I can tell you though by the set up that it would be very bad protocol on SE's part to collect your credit card information, and then forward you onto something like ClickAndBuy or Paypal. With POL we'd input our credit card info into the POL viewer and we'd have to go to SE's site to confirm it for the whole 3-D secure bullshit, but that data exchange was all contained within the same company. I don't even think that'd be legal to request people to give their credit card information when the company is not intending to use it themselves to bill you. But don't quote me on that.

This certainly looks like a direct bill option. I see nothing on here which talks about forwarding you onto some other service to actually bill you. I don't even see anything here that mentions Crysta being involved.

Well, as I looked into this direct pay for NA earlier, the window actually shows CLICK AND BUY at the top for me. And there it asks for account information. MEaning the information for Click and buy. A lot of players already claim (on the forums) they are quiting over this.

There's already 29 going on 30 pages and no mod has touched this.

The sort version is… You get a service fee from Click and Buy to use them. 3-5.9% or something. Plus they are a shadey company. Go to google and type in "Click and buy" and see what the second most searched is. The only real choice here is using Crysta via Paypal. Which in the long run, LONG RUN, you're balance out if not paying a lot.

Small note: I read every page while I was working around the house today

Edit: This is what the NA window looks like.

EDIT2: And this is a link to the JP SE account change over. It's Step 8 that shows the image I posted originally.

I had researched Click and Buy back when FF14 had just come out. I believe their service charge only applied if you went into "inactivity" for like 6-8 months (though this might have changed). There was a lot of red tape surrounding it too though. Like cancelling service with them requires you to like fax them documents including like photo ID or some-such even if you spoke with customer service over the phone.

The company was based in I believe London, or some other British city. A lot of British posters on the BG forums and other forums I frequent had said they were kind of shady and that most of their business practices are bullshit so no one really used them.

Crysta is still bullshit though. Never before have I seen a company make you jump through so many hoops just to give them your money.

I'm not trying to start a rage thread ^^; There's enough of those on the offical forums to make you lol.

I've already decided that Aurou and I will use Crysta via Ultimate Gamer Cards once I figure that all out. I'm with-holding doing that at this time to see what SE's response too all the "RAGE QUIT!" people is. lol.

I just wanted to make sure that those that don't check the offical forums know what this transfer is.

The link below takes you to the step by step directions:

My suggestion is Crysta just because of BBB giving C&B an F rating.
